2. Statistics
As of December 31, 2010, Qui Nhơn Diocese had 69.512 Catholics among a total population of 3,785,600. It had 47 parishes and 291 mission stations. It was served by 83 priests, 224 religious, 35 major seminarians, 100 seminary candidates and 817 catechists. In a land area of 16,194 square kilometers, the diocese covers three provinces of Bình Định, Phú Yên and Quảng Ngãi.

4. Catholic Sites
Gò Thị ParishGò Thị Parish is seen as the cradle of Qui Nhơn Diocese. French Bishop Cuenot Thể of Đàng Trong Vicariate chose this place to be the vicariate curia. The prelate built seminaries, convents and orphanages here. Gò Thị Council was also held here to develop priestly formation for indigenous students, carry out missionary work for ethnic groups in the Central Highland and make plans to divide the vicariate. Gò Thị is also home of Martyr Andrew Nguyễn Kim Thông, a lay leader.

Mằng Lăng ParishMằng Lăng Parish is home of Blessed Andrew Phú Yên, the first witness of faith of the Church in Việt Nam. He was killed in 1644 and beatified in 2000.
Mằng Lăng parish was named the pilgrim center for young Catholics and catechists.
