Sacred Heart of Jesus CathedralSacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral was inaugurated on October 13, 2007. The 2,000-seat Gothic and Vietnamese-style Cathedral was built by Bishop Francis Xavier Nguyễn Văn Sang before his retirement.

As of December 31, 2010, the diocese had 135,178 Catholics among atotal population of 3,250,000. It had 102 parishes and 343 subparishes and mission stations. It was served by 70 priests, 180 religious, 74 seminarians, 48 seminary candidates and 1,057 catechists. In a land area of 2,220.70 square-kilometers, the diocese covers provinces of Hưng Yên and Thái Bình.
